Code of Conduct for Suppliers

DN AUTOMOTIVE is providing a code of conduct to our suppliers so that we can grow with our suppliers and maintain a sustainable supply network.
DN AUTOMOTIVE declares that we will actively take challenges towards better future and respect differences with a flexible way of thinking and an open mindset while continuously adapting to changes to create new values.

  • Ethical Management

    Transparent Management and Anti-corruption

    All employees shall strictly comply with Anti-Corruption Convention of the UN and the anti-corruption laws of the countries in which they operate, and never engage in bribery, blackmail, embezzlement, brokerage, or solicitation using superior business positions. In addition, all the employees shall not intend or demand unfair compensation by exploiting weaknesses or defects of others.

    Fair Trade

    All employees shall comply with fair trade laws and standards of each country in which they operate. Abusing market dominance or trading position, any act of obtaining unfair profits that may undermine fair competition is prohibited, and any acts of collusion with other companies regarding the price, supply volume, transaction area, and transaction conditions of goods or services are prohibited.

    Lawful Acquisition of Raw Materials

    We do not purchase, process, or sell unapproved or counterfeit raw materials and materials, and periodically check whether such unapproved or counterfeit raw materials and materials are used within our plants, and if such case is noted, it should be reported to the authority and customers. Companies that are required to comply with the Conflict Minerals Regulations must clearly identify the source of the raw materials they acquire and guarantee and manage that they have not been acquired from conflict areas or directly or indirectly related countries.

    Conflict of Interest

    All employees shall follow company regulations and be responsible for their jobs. Moreover, the employees are not allowed to give unreasonable promises, proposals or approval.

    Information Protection

    All employees of DN AUTOMOTIVE are not allowed to disclose trade secrets and confidential information of customers and suppliers. Any information obtained in performance of their duties shall not be stored or used without getting approval in advance. Furthermore, appropriate measures shall be taken for protection of intellectual properties while checking any possibility of breach. On top of that, the Company is obligated to provide protection for personal information of all the employees and stakeholders as per relevant regulations.

  • Human Rights

    Discriminatory Practice

    Every worker shall be treated equally and be provided with fair working conditions. Any differences in recruitment, treatment and working conditions shall be based on skill or merit rather than on gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, age, family status, social status and political views. All kinds of discrimination, harassment, dismissal and abuse shall be prevented. To add more, no such discrimination is allowed in salary and welfare systems.

    Child Labor

    Child labor is strictly prohibited in any forms of work. The age of employees and job applicants shall be verified with legal documents such as ID cards and birth certificates. In case underage workers are hired, they shall not be assigned with jobs that could pause threats to their health and safety. And cares shall be taken so that the young workers shall not be restricted from opportunities for education.

    Salary/Wage & Employee Welfare

    Salaries and wages shall be provided in compliance with the laws and systems of the countries in which they operate business. Payments shall be made on a pre-set date with a payslip written in terms that are understandable to the employees. Moreover, clean working space is provided, and employee welfare systems are operated to enhance their quality of life.

    Working Hour

    Statutory working hours shall be observed, and working hours including break times shall be managed. In addition, working overtime shall not be forced against the will of employees. In case, it is necessary to work overtime, reasonable compensation shall be provided for the excessive hours of work. And in respect of privacy of employees, unnecessary working orders shall not be given out of working hours.

  • Environmental Management

    Environmental Management System

    Laws and regulations relating to environment shall be complied with, and all the environment related approvals and licenses that are necessary to run the business shall be obtained and maintained. On top of that, in order to minimize negative impact on environment, environmental management systems shall be run which comprise of organizing, planning, procedures and performance assessment, etc.

    Chemical Substance

    Chemicals shall be handled with care in shipping, storage and disposal, and potential risks and harms of the chemicals shall be identified and displayed.

    CO2 Emission

    Systems shall be equipped to measure amounts of water consumption and waste water, and efforts shall be made to reduce the amount of water used while increasing the amount of recycling. Also, water polluting substances discharged shall be strictly controlled by legal or higher standards.

    Air Pollution

    Systems shall be equipped to measure air polluting substances discharged from plants, and the amount of substances shall be minimized by taking appropriate measures. Additionally, legal standards shall be followed, or internal standards which are stricter than the legal standards shall be established and complied with to reduce air pollution.

    Waste Disposal

    There shall be systems to measure the amount of waste that is disposed from the plants, and proper measures shall be taken to keep the amount of waste that is buried in landfill or incinerated to the lowest level. Plus, recycling and reuse of waste shall be extended. And at the same time, efforts shall be made to reclaim disposed raw materials.

    Energy Consumption & GHG Emission

    There shall be a system to measure the amount of energy consumption and greenhouse gas emission, and continued efforts are needed to reduce the amounts.

  • Safety/Health Management

    Safety and Health Management System

    Safety and health related laws and regulations shall be observed and necessary approvals and licenses shall be obtained and maintained with regard to safety and health in the countries of business operation. Moreover, safety and health management systems comprising organization, planning, procedures and performance assessment shall be operated.

    Safety Management of Machines, Equipment and Devices

    Machines, equipment and devices that have potential risks shall be checked and inspected on a regular basis. In order to prevent safety accidents, safety measures, protective walls and emergency aid shall be installed and maintained. To further protect employees, safety gears which are convenient to use shall be provided and maintained.

    Emergency Response

    Plans shall be set against emergencies such as natural disasters, mass infection, fire, safety accidents, etc. There shall be manuals in place which specify reporting, responding and subsequent remedial measures against emergencies. In addition, emergency exits and lighting as well as fire detectors and alarms shall be installed and inspected on a regular basis.

    Health Management

    Efforts shall be made to provide employees with resting places, restrooms, canteens and others, and to keep those facilities clean. Moreover, dormitories equipped with safety signs, light, heating/cooling and proper restrictive measures against outsiders shall be available for employees.
    On top of that as per the statutory requirements of the government’s health promotional regulations, regular and irregular health checkups shall be provided. Special measures shall be taken in case the results of health checkups require them, such as changing working space or jobs, or reducing working hours. In order to prevent industrial accidents and occupational diseases, processes including preventive measures and treatment shall be established and executed.

  • Management System

    Management Philosophy

    This code of conduct or equivalent commitment to CSR shall be presented internally and externally by using New Year’s address, internal policies or bulletin board of internal portals, etc.

    Grievance Mechanism

    A grievance mechanism shall be implemented that allows employees to report in case they have found violation of this code or interests of individuals have been violated. Reporters shall strictly be protected from unreasonable measures, such as dismissal, threats, retaliation, and ridicule, etc.

    Education & Communication

    Code of conduct and laws and systems relating to CSR shall be educated to employees. And related planning and performance results shall be shared with the employees.

    Information Management

    In case information of the company is requested to be disclosed by law, industrial associations or major customers, efforts shall be made to share the information clearly unless prohibited by law.

    Risk Assessment

    Potential risks in ethics, environment, labor, human rights, safety and health which may arise in business operation shall be identified properly. In case material risks are found, those risks shall be eliminated or mitigated by coming up with and executing appropriate measures.

    Compliance

    Compliance shall be inspected by DN AUTOMOTIVE or a 3rd party designated by DN AUTOMOTIVE. When the 3rd party carries out such inspection or makes a visit to verify compliance with the code of conduct, necessary information and documents shall be shared to support a fair inspection. In case any violation is found, improvement plans shall be established and executed.
